Win - Pac (let me state that i by no means think this fight would be justified, and id much much rather see Pac fight numerous other people, but im talking from cottos perspective.... a fight with Pac at 154 is a lot better then fighting anyone else because hes in, really, a no lose situation. As a cotto fan i like this fight, as a boxing fan i dont. So if not pac, i would say Angulo. Yes... in some ways Angulo is all wrong for Cotto, a big, strong pressure fighter who will be stalking all night, but maybe thats a reason Cotto should fight him.... i dont believe Angulo is on Margaritos level, and IF Cotto PERSISTS at staying at 154, then i think this is the next step for him imo. If he would do what i want him to, and return back to 147 after beating foreman, id like for him to eather rematch Margarito, or fight the Mosley/Berto winner should they fight next (which is the logical next fight for both) If he loses - i would need to see the manner in which he lost.... if he loses because hes just, done... then RETIRE. If he loses because he lost to a much taller fighter in a weightclass he shouldnt even be at, return to 147 and maybe fight the loser of Berto/Mosley
If he ends up fighting Mayorga, he may as well retire. Mayorga is about as relevant in boxing as Fernando Vargas.
Win - Pac/Money/Maravilla Lose - depends on how he loose: KO/Wide UD from Foreman --> Retire SD/Robbed --> Berto/Mosley
@ 147 he should fight: 1st choice Andre Berto 2nd choice rematch with Antonio Margarito 3rd choice rematch with Shane Mosley @ 154 he should fight: 1st choice Kermit Cintron 2nd choice Alfredo Angulo
if he destroys foreman then I say a rematch with Pac or margarito if he beats him barely then I say martinez at 154
Rematch with plaster hands at 154. minus the plaster. If not then Knock out Berto at 147 for some credit, or take on Williams. Cotto takes on allcomers never ducked anyone in his life. If he loses against Foreman, it could be time to hang 'em
Wins: Fight the winner of Spinks/Bundrage for the IBF title. Lose: Depends on the loss, if it's brutal and one-sided then retire, if not then fight Margarito.
If he wins, I don 't want to see him VS Pac or Money -He'll get bashed anyway, why do we want to see if we know the outcome... -Waste of the remaining fight slots of Money or Pac b4 retiring -He's good, but not excellent (anymore...)
