    that story on Hopkins shows that you can not judge anyone on how the media portrays them, he seems like a top bloke and that is a very sad story

    Eamonn Magee - knocked out one of my mates in his first fight... said he was a right piece of work, but was unbelievably tough.

    Didnt want to ruin his own career by seeing what boxing could do to a man.

    They were mates before though.

    Fair play.

    Interesting that so many of the "answers" to the question have been quashed by people who have actually met the fighters in question. Just goes to show how big a part mind games play in the build up and aftermath of fights.

    If hed laughed and told him to **** off or something then fair enough but sometimes you probably dont want to stop and pose for photos

    DeGale was sound as a pound when I met him, I hear Jake LaMotta can be a right ***** if you catch him on a bad day and Carmen Basilio has a habit of slugging you in the gut when you pose for a picture with him
