    :lol::lol:

    Heard he is a proper nice guy, who takes the time to speak to fans and just loves boxing.

    My trainers freind met Lamotta in a toilet and yapped away with him fine enough.

    Apparently Zab is a cool dude, he gets a lot of love on the streets and from fellow pros. He's a party animal so maybe thats it.

    Even though I hate Mayweathers attitude on camera I've got a couple of mates who went to Vegas for the Hatton fight. At one of the casinos he was there with his mother and the usual entourage. Both said his mother was a gem. Mayweather spoke and had a laugh with them for 5 minutes, he even laughed and continued chatting after they told him they'd picked Ricky by ko.

    I still think he's a childish **** but it does make you wonder.

    people need to distinguish between how fighters are for the cameras - trashtalking, winding up opponents, selling fights...

    and how they are in real life.

    not every boxer who signs every autograph with a false smile is a saint, and not every boxer who is sometimes too tired is a ****.

    at the end of the day, you approach these sportsmen as total strangers and expect huge things from them, as if they know you as much as you think you know them. You are probably the two hundredth person that day to ask the same thing, for a photo or an autograph. I honestly don't know how I would handle being a star like that. And if you didn't sign ten different objects for a snotty demanding mum, have her shout all over the internet about what a total **** you are and have people accepting it without knowing the facts.

    these supposed villains like Mayweather and Hopkins, or Craig Bellamy and Gary Neville, are totally devoted to their wives, kids and friends. That says a lot about their moral fibre than their reported and recurring hostility to jumped up fans, opponents and reporters. Then there are sportsmen we adore like John Terry who deliver the big friendly alpha male leader 'there for anyone' 'speak to any reporter' persona, but forget about their wives, kids, family and friends to have it off with skanks and 16 year olds.

    **** dont say that youll probably give them ideas, we migth well be seeing a talk to Ricky Hatton line at just £10 per minute now.

    Failing that there will be a premium line you can ring in to hear pre recorded sounds of him burping and farting.

    i suppose you have to know people on a personal level to judge them properly, some play the badguy if there not blessed witha jovial charachter, kind of there only other option to do something for the camera.

    I met him and asked him for an autograph for my kids. Not the usual sort of thing I'd do but gold medal winner and possible future world champion, etc
    Must say he was very obliging and very polite. Might have been having a bad day when your mate met him (or a good day when I met him ...)
