kessler won maybe 4 rounds at best, and of those 4, 2 were very close.... the only thing kessler did was survive. He had the same outcome of jeff lacy. Calzaghe is an ATG and Kessler is not. Plain and simple

to even compare the Lacy-fight with the Kessler-fight makes you look pretty stupid - Lacy was totally outclassed - didn't even come close to winning a round - The Kessler-Calzaghe fight was close - 116-112 and with several close rounds (all Calzaghe's - but close none the less).

black you know your fighters, and i'm a fan of the guys you back, but green is a joke. he's so inconsistent struggling with guys like linton, almost got destroyed by miranda (sickness or not), and has shown shaky wiskers. kessler's a text book boxer puncher, but he executes this style to perfection. kessler would handily beat green.

Pavlik vs Calzaghe will be good fight imo. Pavlik is almost 6'3", has a very good jab and a lot of power in both hands. Calzaghe is a great fighter no doubt, but I think Pavilk can capitalize on some of his mistakes such as dropping his hands and lunging in. If Pavlik keeps his hands up and takes this fight into the later rounds, he has a chance.

I think Dawson has a better chance of capitalizing on Calzaghe's mistakes then Pavlik. I think Calzaghe will fight Dawson next. Besides I haven't heard from Dawson yet, I'm assuming he was waiting for the winner of this match, then try to get a lucractive deal with Calzaghe's promoter and his promoter. Of course this is all wishful thinking and I don't know what Dawson has in mind, we'll just see in a couple days from now.

You are only as good as the man opposite you lets you be, the man opposite him, if he was an American Boxer may be rated as the best fighter of all time by now.

For 4 round it was a competitive fight, then Calzaghe took over but its not like he completly dominated, Kessler was game and threw some bombs at Calzaghe, he even won the 12th round and I thought he hurt Calzaghe at the end.

    STFU WITH THIS POST!

It was only a matter of time before some ****** was going to post a thread like this "kessler nothing special"....GTFO! No excuses Calzaghe beat a very very good fighter in Kessler and the fact that Calzaghe is at the end of his career and Kessler is still at the beginning of his career lets you know how special Calzaghe has been to the sport of boxing...This kind of **** is so ridiculous.

...another one of those pathetic threads that bashes and lashes out at the losing party after every big match...:-( Sentiments like this can make one ashamed at being a fight fan.

    Agree 100%.

Unless you are born in america, you rarely get full credit for your abilities & skills because its just all money with these ***s but calzaghe MUST recieve ultimate respect for doing it his way (bit like b-hop)
& proving himself as the top 1,2 or 3 p4p boxer on rthis planet.

Calzaghe is king.... ****in deal with it usa & other ****s, full ****in stop.

    Botswana (just means goodbye.)

The truth is 50% of Eastside and other boxing sites picked Kessler to win. At least 75% of you people were picking Kessler to DESTROY Calzaghe after we saw Kessler's U.S. debut against Andrade and now that Kessler got his ass kicked and almost was put down by Calzaghe it makes him a top 10 p4p. and im stupid? Kessler is very one dimensional, how the hell can he be a top 10 fighter, Winky Wright, Hopkins, Calzaghe, any good BOXER will pick him apart easily.

Winky Wright would get blasted - Taylor had success with his powershots and when he kept him in the center of the ring. Kessler's jab is longer, harder, and crisper - it would get there first. And Kessler would not be forced into corners and pounded on. Kessler definitely beats Wright.

Kessler would **** Pavlik brutally, Pavlik fights straight up and would be KOed...i can't see Taylor beating Kessler either...stylewise Lacy is the biggest threat to Kessler at 168, because Kessler can't move like Calzaghe and he stands straight up...but how long can Kessler even make 168 is the question...
