Mayorga, Haye, Mayweather, Froch, Malignaggi, Darchinyan, Toney, Mundine, Golota, Hopkins, Judah, Augustus. These are all characters, Eubank is wrong.
He's absolutely right, we need more characters in boxing it's one of the ingredients needed to cross over. Fighters with a little razmattaz and swagga get people interested, look what being a character did for Mayorga...got him a lot of big fights and made him a lot of money despite his lack of technical ability. Imagine Miguel Cotto with more personality? It doesn't matter to us die-hards because we appreciate and respect him, but it matters to the casuals because being a good boxer is not enough, especially with the sport stuck in a quagmire as it is today.
he comes across as 1 from wat ive seen. my mate who was boxing seen him at another show that he (eubank's son) was boxing at giving it large and got totally outboxed :yep.
Eubank is a little annoying with this crud he comes out with about Boxing today. You would think that there are no good dangerous fighters and that British Boxing was in a horrific state the way he goes on at times.
