So much for Mosley's "hometown," when most of the people were booing when he beat the **** out of Margarito in front of an L.A. crowd.
You bet it did. One of the only nights I ever rooted hard for Floyd, and I was 50/50 until our anthem got booed. I'm not overly sensitive about my country, and I can see why Brits don't think it's a big deal, but it gave me a feeling of us (Floyd) vs. them (Ricky) when that went down. All good tho, I love the passion in European fans, especially the English football fans, who are second to none.
I watched the Mayweather-Mosley fight in one of LA's most popular sports bars, Yankee Doodles in Santa Monica. It was standing room only at their PPV room/ pool basement with about 300 people of all ethnicities: white, black, hispanic, asian, men & women... evenly distributed all wanting to enjoy a highly anticipated fight. I was expecting a big ovation for Shane Mosley, as he grew up in the LA area (Pomona). What I completely did not expect when Floyd was walking down to the ring was that he'd have 1 (ONE) person in that crowd clapping during his entrance. I said to myself, DAMN! IS FLOYD REALLY HATED THAT MUCH? There was a few boos from the crowd, but really it seemed nobody but this one black lady (probably from the midwest) gave a rats ass and clapped all by her lonesome. When the fight did start, it seemed everyone just cheered for any clean shots landed by either fighter, which of course was mostly Floyd (except for 2nd round).
ur the one giving him the attention..u make more posts about floyd than anyone else its pathetic really..u claim to hate him yet you always talkin down on the man..hmm..haterizm nig#a!!:hi:
At 1:05 into the video: Floyd said he'll take a year or couple of years off from boxing  BOOoooooo.... (he's ducking Pacquiao) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1ndm0p0R3Y[/ame] This content is protected
Definitely nothing new. I saw Floyd sitting in the audience for an Antonio Margarito fight that happened here in Phoenix. Michael Buffer announced his name and when Maywetaher stood up the majority of people booed his ass. This was back in 2004 so I presume he's very used to it by now.
