I was in the middle of the fence on this fight, but leaned toward Kessler since he had a solid style, hit harder and was the youngest guy, but Joe C. magnificent boxing skills and incredible ring saviness equalized that and then some....Congrats to Joe C. on his impressive win over a legitimate opponent of equal ability and showed the world that he is indeed a MASTER BOXER.....Joe C was graceful in victory as Kessler was gentleman like and honest in defeat...Kessler gave it his all, never quited, and try his best ...felt short....and he understood that in order to win he will need to change his approach......that he could or that he can win ...welll that's another story...

For Joe C. a fight with BHop would be great farewell from boxing possibly, now that this will be an easy fight for either I doubt it...BHop is as slick as Joe C. IMO, and this fight would be a tech match or possibly Joe C. might think he can pressure BHop, maybe he will be able but I will not be surprized at BHop approach on this fight and created a odd awkward fight neutralizing Joe C. style...or it could be the other way around......

Who ever may think tha MW's Jermain Taylor, Kelly Pavlik or Abrahamans has any chance against Joe C......please go home and examine your logic...Joe C. will eat inexperinece Jermain for Lunch, and Kelly might present more of a challenge for 2 or 3 rounds but from there on it will be downhilll quickly for Pavlik, Abrahams, please it will Boxing School 101 for Abrahams....

You say Chad Dawson, I say, don;t even try it.....Joe C. has an uncany ability to figure his opponent out in 2 rounds and step on the accelerator and left you behind.....

You have to factor in Hopkins' age and that he has physically declined quite a bit in recent years. But Hopkins though, defensively is one of the best. And when you have a great defense you can match it with anyone.

I mean I agree it will be a question of whether Hopkins can neutralize Calzaghes' offense and also whether Calzaghes' great offense can overwhelm Hopkins. I think it's a logical matchup at this stage if Hopkins is still continuing. Hopkins is the true 175 lb champion and a lot of people seem to forget that.

I'd hate too see Joe fight Hopkins. BH is too old and the win would mean litte. I'd prefer Dawson,Pavlik or maybe even Woods!

Actually maybe not Woods come to think of it.:huh

It was a great fight, and I honestly don't see anyone from 160-175 beating Calzaghe right now. To be honest, nobody besides Calzaghe would probably beat Kessler either.

I think that Calzaghe would overwhelm B-Hop and wear him out. Hopkins would be forced to fight at a pace that he simply can't keep up with. Hopkins is great, and I called him to beat Tarver and Wright.... but I just don't see him having enough to be Joe.

At this point it would be very hard to predict a winner, if this fight happens, now if ther;s someone that can pull a rabbit of ahat in boxing in BHop, He is as crafty or more than Joe C....as long as BHop keep his feet moving and slipping puches he has a chance, can he get old overnight absolutely....

I will agree with you that Kessler, look impressive in defeat, and had his moments against Joe C......I apartially agree that Joe C. is the man between 160 and 175...I can see anyone even coming close to beat him on those weight classes ...but if someone has the know how...is BHop

Joe did look very unbeatable last night IMO. Very unbeatable. Like Orisha said, I can't see anybody right now around him that he will not figure out in the first 1/4 of the fight and then make them look silly for showing up.

I don't think he cares much there since both are well past their primes - even more so than Hopkins. I would look for him to face either Woods, Bute, or Pavlik if he doesn't fight Hopkins.

Without dishing on Pavlik, since I like him as a boxer, Joe C. would figure him out in 2 rounds and Pavlik would look like a chump....Joe C. is way to much of a boxer for Pavlik at this point on his career....Kessler would be Pavlik, by KO, in fact Pavlik style would be taylor made for Kessler...

Not only did Joe what he needed to win, as he was always going to, but he also grappled and held on less than he could have done to make his life easier...very proud of Joe's performance and approach!:happy
