could not believe last night -50-000 supporters & at least 45000 of that was supporting calzaghe - now im firstly pissed off with the support the fans gave him there was no atmosphere in there & i could here the kessler chants out weighing joes which was just **** - secondly calzaghe took the belts didnt even say thanks to the crowd & was quickly taken away for interviews leaving us fans thinking where the **** has he gone - all ill say when you go to a hatton fight the crowd is electric & he thanks his fans & is at least in the ring for 5 mins after a fight to joes 30 secs - 300-00 quid for my ticket - it should have been 30-00 frank warren is a ****in ****

I thought the crowd roar would have been much louder when they called Joe's name. They almost seemed indifferent

With a few exceptions; boxing does not work in a stadium; Even Bruno could not get Wembley going properly.

A smaller number of 'away' fans often out sing the 'home' fans. The away guys are usually the hardcore of support, the home fans contain a lot of people just there for a night out.

It happens a hell of a lot in football.

Thanked and acknowledged the fans during a radio interview.

They sounded pretty loud to me.
I was definitely impressed with the Danish fans though.

Just after the fight Joe went to all four corners of the ring and saluted the fans.

Boxing is one of those sports that it is not great live, unless you have ringside seats because you need to be up close to really see whats going on. Therefore, boxing often doesnt work in very large stadiums and the atmosphere is effected. Boxing works better in smaller venues live.

i was right behind kesslers brother in the crowd = he had a badger style haircut with kessler running through it - so kesslers corner was to the left of our viewing calzager far right - i did not see calzaghe once that twelve round had gone - he just ****ed off

He went to all four corners and saluted them , maybe you didn't see if from your position but it happened and denying so would simply be lying(I'm sure someone will be able to prove it with a video of the fight , the Setanta version will show it) .

Maybe they went to watch boxing and not scream like drunken soccer hooligans.
