Cunningham-Ross and Sylvester-Karmazin RBR

Round 2

Double jab from RK. SS tries to spear one of his own home. RK holding back, using his height and reach. SS not closing the gap. They continue to make it a fencing match with their left hands. RK opens up a bit and flurries, mostly hitting arm. SS feints to back RK up and lands a jab to the body as the guard rises. Another flurry from RK, nothing clean. SS tries more body jabs.

Abraham is sitting ringside.

 

Round 3

RK setting the pace with metronome jabs. SS mostly covering up and defending. SS tries a right hand to the body and misses. RK parries another body attack from SS and jabs at his guard. SS lands a 1-2. RK lands a jab, and converts it quickly into a hook, which lands but not flush. SS snaps RK's head with a jab between the gloves. They clinch as SS falls in and RK grabs. SS back to covering up with his head tucked into the turtle shell. RK circling and jabbing, moving diagonally. SS sneaks in another jab to the chin. SS lands a 1-2. SS then tries looping the right, lands. RK tries to assert the jab but SS is confident. They circle in the middle of the ring and jab.

Sylvester round.

29-28 Karmazin

 

Round 4

RK flurries at the head of SS. SS grabs and holds. RK's head snapped back by a jab. RK catches SS lunging in with a hook. RK seems to switch southpaw momentarily. RK back to sticking the left jab at SS, and moving away to preserve his punching range. SS just following, and covering up. RK misses a hook but keeps punching, lands with the right and then goes to the open body. SS backs into a corner and RK lets him out, back to center ring. SS walks into a hook to the body, partially deflected by elbow. RK continues to bang away, pausing every few punches to conserve energy. Short triple hook glances the side of SS's face.

Karmazin round.

Yeah, they both did good work and Karmazin was busier but the right hands of Sylvester were the hardest and cleanest thing landed by either, so on my card he stole it despite getting outworked.

 

Round 5

Karmazin jabbing rapidly now, stifling Sylvester's attempts to mount offense. Really high and fast jab output from Karmazin. Mixing them in to the nose, throat, and sternum. Sylvester tries to punch with him but Karmazin's jab is longer and beating him back. Sylvester finally gets in a clean two-punch combo but not hard. Karmazin controls the distance with his jab. Sylvester barges in behind his high guard and then wings a hook that lands on the shoulder. They infight a bit and the ref breaks it. Short hook from Karmazin misses. Neither is very accurate at close range. 1-2 lands for Sylvester. Another. He pushes Karmazin into the ropes. Karmazin goes back to the Chun-Li jab.

Close, close round. Going with the precedent of my scoring the 3rd, Sylvester gets it for the more meaningful punches.
