The Hitman, Ricky Hatton. Was an absolute monster at 140 in his prime. Im talking around the Kosta fight and earlier when he threw combos, pressured unreal and didn't reply so much on the holding brawling tactics. One of my favourite nights, obviously no including the Kosta fight [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdaLrZd4xWE&feature=related[/ame]
Good fighter, good guy, underrated by some but overrated by many more .overall he had a good career. PS-It wont take long before someone posts a pic of him sleeping on the canvas after Pac and Floyd.
Wouldn't bother me mate. Vegas against Floyd was the best week of my life. And Ricky did well for the first half of the fight until Floyd stepped up and Ricky got wound up by Cortez. Vegas and boxing will never see another boxing event like that again. Pacman fight was a major disappointment, Hatton overtrained and Floyd Sr tried to change his style far too much. And Manny is just on another level. Problem was the US never took notice of Hattons career until the Kosta or the Castillo fight.IMO Hattons best days were already behind him then at his best weight 140. My opinion of Hatton is that he was a superb fighter, a animal at 140. Just not good enough at 147 to beat a master in Mayweather, and pacman was all wrong for Hatton at 140.
