They are both future hall of famers but who has the better chance of being an atg.

    R. Marquez trilogy w/Vasquez already places him in all-time talk. (Fights of all time)
IMO, He has achieved as much with out the big promotional push of a Cotto.

@ 29 obviously Cotto has the most potential to still achieve.. (age wise)
But if it all ended today... I'm not sure who ranks higher?

I disagree hatesrats. Coto's resume is better if not equal to rafa's.

cotto in my opinion, he has had his share of great fights as well, and still has the potential to grow under his new trainer

Cotto isn't a hall of famer except to crazy ass Puerto Ricans.

You aren't great when it takes you until you are 29 years old and shot to finally beat a champion to get a belt. It also doesn't help that the champ was a pillow puncher with one leg.

Cotto should have a better chance since age is on his side, and the fact that he's a 3 div champ now, and IMO isnt as shopworn as Rafa. If Rafa would manage to pick up a belt at 126, beating the like of Lopez and Gamboa and become the man at 126, he'd be an ATG for sure, But considering his age and the wars he has been through, i find that unlikely. So i'll have to pick Cotto.

Not sure whether Cotto's is good enough to be considered an all-time great. He is a hall of famer for sure, but he came up short against a true atg in pacquaio.

cotto = very good figher, not atg.

they're both borderline ATG's as is but I say Cotto got a lot more in the tank so I'll say by the end of their respective careers COtto will place higher. Damn I'm glad Cotto's back
