"I'm telling you now, I've had long conversations with him, Manny Pacquiao's first goal is to get Mayweather into the ring and this whole drug testing nonsense - and I think it was nonsense, but Manny has now agreed," Arum said in New York. "He's agreed, so now that's [the drug testing] not an issue. So now the ball's in Mayweather's court and if Mayweather doesn't fight him, that's Mayweather's decision and he has every right to make that decision. "If I was Mayweather I wouldn't want to fight Pacquiao either." "I'm very much willing and excited to train for that fight. I'm also ready to assume my congressional seat," Pacquiao told FanHouse and The GMA news out of his native Manila, Philippines. "Floyd has no reason to refuse to fight any more because I have agreed to the 14-day limit within which they can draw blood from me." Man up ***** boy Floyd. edit: it's on the front page now.
I am not taking sides here but Pacquiao has just agreed to the terms Mayweather proposed 6 months ago, which Floyd has since stated he is no longer willing to except. So it was pointless Arum coming out and saying anything until theres an actual agreement from both parties which is what they had said the would do.
up to the fight or shut the hell up...if they change it and floyd doesnt agree then i will think floyd ducked...but if we wont have up to the fight and 60/40 then i wont listen
what are you mayweathers negotiator now? Why do you even care about the purse split? 60/40? atsch. Floyd nuthuggers are the worst in the world.
Looks like the fight may not happen anyway because: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ4gwkZb3sI[/ame] btw, if this is just a ploy, then Floyd just used a cancer kid as part of his negotiating tactic. Well done Floyd :good
did you ever think maybe he didn't want to talk boxing with a non-boxing (or non-major) press outlet, and that he may be sticking to the plan of not negotiation through the media? probably not, because you're just a hater, and nothing more.
then why didn't he just say "no comment." Why would he say he's retiring? That makes no sense. If it's a negotiating tactic, I don't see what he's trying to accomplish.
This entire fight was doomed from day one. I'd like to put it behind & move on. Announce it's death & let the sport go.
what makes no sense is you tards clinging to this one interview (and who was the interviewer?) as the gospel, yet discredit EVERY other word that comes out of his mouth and if you could read, i said, he IS NOT negotiating though the media, thus, it wouldn't be a negotiating tactic we even have media reporting they are not negotiating at all, and they they are waiting for the NSAC to finish their review of the drug policy: http://www.mlive.com/mayweather/index.ssf/2010/06/nevada_state_athletic_commissi.html
So why say he's retiring? Still haven't heard a good reason why. I beleive he said something similiar after the mosley fight too. Sounds to me like he is really thinking about it. Maybe it'll happen maybe not, ( hope not), but the fact is he did say it amidst the biggest fight in boxing that can be made. Can't get around that.
