Oh dear. Don't even go there, Shane. Foreman is responsible for some of the worst commentating jobs in recent Boxing history. He refused to give Hopkins any credit whilst he was taking Trinidad apart and how we forget his wonderful observation before the Ruiz/Jones fight. "Tonight the referee will be the most important man in the ring other than the two fighters". Don't try and make Foreman out to be Nostradamus. Roy KO1 Foreman.
Roy is awesome, it was great hearing him. He does it best, as he's both extremely knowledgable, sees things that the other commentators don't see, AND he is also entertaining in his delivery. Jim Lampley needs to go, he is a cheerleader and often what he says does not correspond to what is going on in the ring.
Roy Jones Jr. did a great job last night. He knows boxing (Duh!) and he isn't biased like the other fools. Two thumbs up for RJJ.
Basically, you're just a sad sack of ****? Or maybe you have mighty high standards? I'll take the former.
I liked Roy's commentary last night, it was good and put reality into the situation of the fight. It was also a big when he said Vanes....****!...Martirosyan. It's HBO, what should we expect?
I liked Jones last night, too, but the friends & family casual fans here laughed even harder at him than they did at Atlas the night before.
RJJ is THE BEST commentator HBO's ever had. Roy's good for the sport. He needs to stay retired and use his speaking skills...
I like Jones in terms of content, he just needs to work on delivery, slow it up a bit etc. Foreman i find to be the opposite, powerful concise voice, good character, but talks a lot of ****.
I feel George is the best they have had. To me George is the perfect commantator as he never never picks a side.
Both he and Tarver are the best in the buisness right now ..All thats missing is a Lampley counter part on Show Time .
