gerard o'mahoney i remember for commenwealth trial it was the semi and a guy from nsw was beating him every round, yet when the judges annouced scores after every round they had o'mahoney ahead, at the end of the fight o'mahoney was given the win and everyone else in the crowd from trainers to other state officials thought it was a rort, none the less he won his next fight qualified for comm games and gets knocked out first round.... you cant improve as a nation in boxing if the best boxer isnt representing your country...
very true.... i know of guys who would be almost better suited for the aus team but were out with injuries and stuff when the trails for the WC's were on... hopefully they will scrape into the olympic team since no one really mad it to the top 8 in there division
