If Toney choked him out that would be a serious message. Even Nog couldn't lock a sub to finish.

 

To be clear a blue belt would choke Toney out grappling easy let alone a class wrestler who will pistionally ass **** him.

Obviously, the guy has no grappling experience at all. HOWEVER...

I'm kinda rooting for Coture though. James Toney, over the past few years, has been that floating, stinky log in our HW division and boxing pool.

I secretly hope that these guys are working their butts off behind closed doors but a leopard never loses it's spots. Just like Mayorga didn't take it seriously, neither did Butterbean, I doubt Toney has. These guys are fat and don't train. Sure they learn a few new tricks but they aren't true martial artists who have unrivalled hunger for learning.

In boxing Toney to me is tricky, fat, past it and a mouth. I should think even less of him in MMA but I'm secretly hoping that he comes in at 205, ripped to ****, blocking kicks, defending the take down and letting hands fly.

 

I'd be surprised if James Toney could choke out somebody who has never trained a day in their life.

He could knock them unconscious and then choke them, but in a grappling match, I honestly don't think he would be able.

 

You may not like James Toney, but you gotta admit that he DOES speak the truth.

He's right when he talks about goin in there and tryin to FIGHT for real, instead of tryin to hug someone up against the wall like a bouncher.

He's tryin to knock you OUT. That's a true fighter. Most guys try to do everything they can to prevent a fight from breakin out. They fight like they tryin to break a fight up!

I remember this big ass fat mother ****er was runnin his mouth at this one guy maybe half his size, guy didn't have any bull**** trainin, he just jumped up from behind the guy and choked his ass out.

What he didn't have was FEAR.
