For those of you saying that it is ok to basically blow off the fans I have this to say, boxers are entertainers. People pay to be entertained, get it? So if you don't have time for those who pay your salary get a different job or stay as an amateur. It is easy to forget your roots, and the days you wanted to have fans.
the hell? You pay for ACTION AND EXCITEMENT IN THE RING.... does cotto give that or not? Torres, Mosley, Bailey, Pinto, Bazan, Clottey, Pac, Margarito, Foreman, Malignaggi, among other fights, show he does. The man has given PLENTY to boxing, and boxing fans, and has earned his money that way. doesnt mean the guy has to parade around for you people on his own time cuz you pay to see him fight atsch
yes after every fight tito always announced the day and time of his arrival but i also think cause cotto took a lot of his time to learn the English language they might think he's a trader to p.r although p.r is a commonwealth of US
I've heard stories about him being an unprofessional womanizing drunk at a local night club that he owns in his town. I heard the story that he once was drunk and got fresh with some ***** that was married. Apparently, her husband was there and literally ***** slapped Cottoe in front of everyone and Cottoe ain't do ****.
what do you prefer......an idiot like tito who yells puerto rico any chance he gets...low blows and gets ko'd only to hide under a rock.... cotto got ko'd brutally twice and is still here giving us fans what we want to see.....so **** you and your logic, you guys dont deserve cotto.... keep gay ass calderun and juanmamamelo.......
only a dumb**** with a crybaby in his avatar would say stupid **** like that..... floyd not only gets dissed at clubs, he hits women who reject him.....****en ***.. and floyd recently had some kid shot over a ****en text messega....wow, big time gangster right there.....:-(
You figured him out too huh. Probably picked Quintana over Berto too. Reminds me of the Pavlik fans who are always rooting for Miranda,Taylor and Zuniga. Oh the irony.:rofl
There was little fanfare cuz of the opponent he just beat. Had he beaten Pac, the fanfare would have been just as big as when Tito beat Hoya. The entire island stood paralyzed and glued to a screen somewhere (in a bar, pub, or home, or anywhere) the night of the Pac-Cotto fight. Every and I mean every guy and a huge majority of the women who live in my building were watching that fight.
cotto has always been in the shadow of tito trinidad. cotto is a very good boxer, but he's a private sort of person who doesn't like the media. nowdays if you want to be a star, then the media have to follow you alot. look at mayweather and pacquiao, they can't go out nowhere without some sort of camera next to them, and they seem to like it, while cotto is a quiet, private sort of person. i respect cotto alot. he doesn't make out he's something he's not just to sell.
