Is anyone else frustrated?

  1. At the prospect of big fights such as Mayweather/Pacquiao or Haye/Wlad not coming through, or at least it seems that way.
I used to think that all the trash talk and hesitating over annoucing a deal was partly due to promote the fight and generate more interest, however now it is becoming frustrating that we may have to settle for dead fights such as Harrison vs Haye and Cotto vs Pacquiao II?

It takes a long time for big fights to get made. Be patient.

its all round **** being a boxing fan, big fights going begging, bogus mandatory defences, six guys calling themselves champ, over priced pay per view for fights that should barley be televised, shitty decisions, drug cheats being allowed to fight on, jingoistic fanboys, wanna be gangster fighters....

but what you gonna do ? start sucking dicks and watching MMA ?

No. There are plenty of great fights. Quit thinking all of boxing = mayweather/pacman. Thats whats wrong with all of you. And the fight isnt a done deal to me, until they are both in the ring. So dont forget that either.

    i´m not frustrated.
there are good fights nearly every week somewhere.
the thing with Haye is at least funny and to be honest i´d preffer to watch when someone like Sam Peter rips his head off rather than a Klitschko does it but Haye is running scared from any competition.
and Pacquiao had great fights with Barrera, Morales, Marquez those guys were miles better than Cotto, Hatton or Clottey. If a fight with Mayweather can be made fine if not i can live with it. Still watching Pacquiaos fights of course but its not that i care too much about that at all.

And to think the good Lord took only a week to make the earth-and still took a day off to relax.

I just heard about the Harrison v Haye negotiations .
    lmao

How can Haye show his face in public if he takes a fight with Harrison after being called out by both Wlad and Vitali?

Thats whats not so good about boxing to me. Theres a huge build up on one fight only, setting the stage for huge letdown potential. Floyd Oscar has massive promotion, commercials and ****, and the fight wasnt all that great. Meanwhile Vasquez Marquez fight 4 times without one tenth the exposure, and those fights were much better. Big fights are great, but theres too much stock put into them in my opinion

It's a bit frustrating indeed. But then again the past, even where fighters fought ever month, maybe wasn't that much better.
SRR for example fought so many bums that it must not have been very interesting. I guess truely big fights now happen as much as 60 years ago. The only difference now is that good fighters only fight big fights.

Good point, and most people could have predicted too that Vazques Marquez was going to be far more entertaining.
But I still like all the build up though, even if the fights isn't that great, atleast there was a fun show. Prizefighting is still entertainment, but sadly also a business.

Nah remember it toke years for Leonard-Hagler to happen and when it did, it was BIG. Also in the meantime being a BIG boxing addict like myself I can have more time to watch fights. BIG fights will happen you just have to wait and enjoy fights from the past and some from the present to appease your appetite.
