Theres a guy at my gym that could knock out a damn horse if he connected clean, he just swings like a madman and doesn't have the proper technique to land it.

Until you see what it does when it does land clean, you really can't know how powerful a puncher he is. Seen monsters throw hellacious bombs in sparring, 'n in fights, and guys just walk through 'em.

It is not the truths that I refuse to accept. It is the myths that I have a concern with.

Not an expert on the subject, P, but aside from adding muscle, weight 'n strength, which doesn't necessarily correlate into punching power 'n hand speed, I think the only thing it's good for is the fighter's ego, looking ripped in the mirror.

Can more likely see the value for giant heavyweights. Don't see the advantage in the lower weight classes; a guy has to make weight.

But, it's a mute point, PEDs are banned, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Noo I got you John, I'm with you in the sense that speed and power is something you got or you don't. I was merely saying that it's obvious he has RAW power, but not the other ingredients to show that power. A lot of people think you can improve your power with technique, balance and what not. I disagree, it's hardly improving your better, it just, in my opinion, makes you an overall more effective puncher. But raw power is not something that can be improved.
