Dawson is very good but also inexperienced, if I was Dawsons promoter I wouldn't put him anywhere near Calzaghe; too risky at this stage of his career, just let him build up experience then step it up when JC and BHop are retired.

Right now I think Joe wins a wide UD over Dawson

 

I don't think Dawson is faster or a better boxer, he is younger and at this point has a bigger punch.

Dawson with his height, reach, youth and speed could beat Calzaghe but I think Calzaghe would go for the knockout and Dawson does not have a great chin, he is a knockout waiting to happen.
