Miguel Cotto: "I'll fight Margarito if his status is fixed and the money is right"

Margarito is not able to fight in the states at the moment...

 

I think margarito fought cotto cleanly. If they were to fight again the outcome wouldnt change! ...

 

The guy is not hated. He's one of the most universally respected active boxers. Even his hardcore fanbase are a level-headed sensible lot, absent of the repugnant blindly fanatical fanboys drawn to other boxing stars.

 

I read an interview with Cotto post-Margarito where he stated that he would never clinch because clinching is for pussies or cheating or words to that effect. I wonder if Steward can convince him otherwise.

Just ain't gonna happen. Arum and Golden Boy are gonna put in another shitty undercard. I hope I'm wrong though, but I doubt it.

 

I'm not hating on your boy, i'm simply going by what I seen when they fought and basic common sense. When these two met Cotto was clearly the superior boxer of the two, Marg was getting hit with everything but the kitchen sink...lol. I would like to say Margarito was the better man that night, but after getting caught with loaded gloves when he was about to face Mosley, a guy who Cotto had already beat, it would be common sense to think that he used loaded gloves on Cotto as well.
