I apologise if this thread has been done before... But Money said 4 more fights then permanent retirement...if he fights and beats Pac next, then who's next for Money? I don't think a move up in weight is right for him, as if I'm right, he barely managed to put on the weight to fight DLH. Same goes for Pac, if he beat Money who would be next? Thanks
If Cotto continues along on a good comeback trail then a fight with him could be a possibility. That's been an intriguing matchup for years now.
He could probably go on to embarrass some fighters at Jr. Middle but I think he's probably just going to retire after this fight, W or L.
If the fight is competitive there will be a re-match and if a new winner then a third fight. Mayweather would then have 2 or 3 fights left and I'd suggest he go after the 160 title if he won the Manny wars or he'll just retire if he lost the Manny wars. If he dominates Manny in the first fight so there's no rematch then go up to 160 and go for that title and if he wins that take on the best at 168. Of course it would take balls for him to do that so I dunno what the heck he'll do after he fights Manny because there won't be any interest in buying his fights against lesser competition at 147-154 if he dominates Manny. Maybe he could drain himself down to 140 or even 135 and take on a couple guys there. If Manny wins then he has a lot more options since he's a naturally exciting fighter. He can fight guys at 140-154 and sell tons of PPV's.
I see both retiring if they pick up the win. Not sure if either would want to go out on a L though...so I see both looking for a rematch (if it's a close decision) and being unsuccessful. If Mayweather loses and Pacquiao retires...maybe Mayweather could make a big statement by going on to face and beat Martinez for either belt? Not sure what Pacquiao's options would be...but maybe move back down to 140lbs for a bout with Bradley, etc...?
I assume some boxing commissions have rules on how small a fighter can come into a fight compared to the weight limit? Is there something in Nevada preventing a 152 lb Mayweather from fighting for the 168 title? I know in amateur boxing there's minimum weights but is that the case in the pros? I am convinced either Manny or Mayweather could win the 160 title against the current competition. I think Mayweather has a chance at the 168 title. I can't stand Mayweather but I'd pay $100 for a PPV to see him fight for the 168 title against the Super Six winner and I'd put him no worse than 2-1 underdog.
If PBF beats pac he'll prolly just $$$$ like always: cotto, Hatton rematch, or Khan if he amasses a couple more good wins. I think may would destroy each of these dudes more easliy then pacman.
After he beats fish and all the *******s literally cry and complain over their keyboard while blaiming blood testing, Roach's game plan, Pac's congressional stress.. socks..lighting etc etc. He will probably fight for the middleweight title b/c that is the only thing left to accomplish. Or rematch Pac if somehow Pac is able to win 4 rounds.
Rematch with pacman... If he beat the # 1 P4P then there's no one else to fight but a rematch with pacman. I doubt he'll go up and fight PW Martinez? doubt it.. not big enough name Cotto maybe at 154.
Rematch with Pacquiao. If Pacman can rematch a shot Morales x2, then Mayweather can rematch Pacquiao after totally outclassing him.
