I'd pick Lacy to beat Pavlik

I'd pick him over Pavlik and Taylor both, and Miranda and Abraham for that matter. How's that for your 160 division? Pretty low.

i have to pick lacy by styke and punch lacy has the power to keep pavlik down but so does pavlik so i guess i dnt know who would win oh well i think it would be a good fight

As would I. Great post BTW, good to see someone actually analyzing the fight instead of just running with popular opinion. I have a lot of respect for Lacy, and he has now certainly been under rated by many on these boards. Would love to see him come back and become a force in the division once again.

 

This post is wrong for so many reasons. Lacy is slow and stupid... compared to the ultra fast Pavlik ? Lacy getting beaten in an extremely bad style match up by Calzaghe means that somehow Pavlik beats him? Because they are very similar as fighters aren't they. At this point I am really questioning the amount of thought you put into this post.

 

Lacy would risk serious injury against Pavlik. He is one dimensional, cannot box, is muscle bound and slow. Pavik hits harder than Calzaghe and would hit Lacy at will until Lacy would be carried out on a strecher.

Isn't it sad that Lacy is even still considered a threat. Why? The Supermiddle weight division is loaded with talent. e.g., Bute, Froch, Inkin, Kessler, would all destroy the "new Tyson". What a joke that monikor is.

Styles make fights.

A come foward plodder like Lacy with an injury and little head movement, overrated power, and just an alright workrate is made for a tall, ultra hard hitting, straight puncher like Pavlik.

ok lets think this out how many top guys has lacy beat how many that he has knocked out have been knocked out previously before he has done it now because bloodsucking promoters found a guy with a good hook {lefthook} you buy into it then he faces a talented fighter gets gangraped but it was only one guy still looks like a gang did it and what happens the hype still lives on now pavlik wins an incredible match up and yet you believe lacy should still be mentioned now check this i definitely was dissapointed wiyh jt's performances prior to the pavlik war but look at the opposition they were all defensive wizards more of a bad matchup as far as promoters and managers go you know how the **** goes your boss tells you to do the job you do it middleweight is way more talented than super or light heavy old man hops went up to dominate cause he couldn't cut it with the big guns pavlik means big trouble for anyone in any of these divisions is he the fastest no the prettiest no the most relentlees yes and that paired with power and straight shots that can rip through your guard = good night DID I GET KNOCKED OUT
