And where does he rank at the weight Hpkins fought him at?

Right now, the only person Hopkins has beaten who ranks in the top 50 at that weight, is Tarver  Wright isn't anywhere at 175lbs, DLH isn't at 160lbs, Tito isn't, Jhnson isn't and so on.

Obviously this will change is he beats Calzaghe, but that won't happen. His record will then show he lost against the four best fighters he fought, whilst his best win is a top 50 all-timer, who ranks almost nowhere head to head.

So, yeah. Who is the best opponent Hopkins ha beaten, and where does he rank all-time in that weight class? is that fighter an ATG?

Hopkins defended the middleweight title close to 20 times(I'm not sure how many exactly but it is up there)

Well if your saying @ 175...hes only had 2 fights there....so not much to choose from...but both were solid wins...Tarver was THE light heavyweight champ...Wright was a top p4p fighter...Id say those count...

And didn't beat one great fighter. He could have defended his title 400 times, yet if it was against people like Reggie Strickland, it doesn't mean ****. Obviously Hopkins opponents are well above that level, but he hasn't beaten one fighter you could legitimately call great.

Calzaghe has the best fighter on his resume, in Kessler. Close to prime, very skilled, in his prime weight - He was far more of a challenge than anyone Hopkins has beaten.

I'm not restricting it to just 175lbs.

My question was, has he beaten any fighter who ranks in the top 50 at that weight? Tarver may be. Wright isn't top 200 at light heavy.

Trinidad is maybe top 100 at 160lbs. Not an elite fighter at that weight at all.

    Yep.

Just thinking about it, I doubt Tarver is clearly top 75. He beat an old ATG, but has a poor resume himself.

He has only fought at light Heavyweight a couple times, he is most known for his work in the middleweight division.

He only had two fights at 175. How can you bashed him for that? I think overall that Hopkins fought the way better fighters than Calzaghe has.
