Hell yeah he is! I hope he becomes more active throughout his career though. Having a fight scheduled in Aug 2010 knowing you haven't fought since Nov 09 aren't good things. Hopefully Chad fights more it's great watching him fight.
Unfortunately it looks he's going the way of the "modern" boxer with a little bit of money, when it comes to frequency of fights. I mean if he can get away with fighting twice (in this case once) a year without ring rust being an issue to him, I'll be surprised if we ever see him fight 3/4 times a year. I always said if I was pro, and got big enough to where I had a decent fan base, that no matter how big I got, to try to keep fighting at least 3 times a year. But honestly I cant blame some of our boxers who tone it down once they get their nice chunk of change, cause imo alot of the time (if the boxer is family oriented like Chad) that boxer is giving time back to his family.
Dawson easy. And Pascal is only Dawson's sixth toughest fight. Adamek would have raped Pascal, and I'd pick Johnson to beat Pascal every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Based on the Branco fight, I'd pick Tarver to beat him too. I've come to like Pascal, and he's a very fun fighter, but he's not very good. He's a wild brawler who just happens to have a lot of physical talent and is able to get by relying on that talent. But a long fighter with straight punches and a decent beard should beat Pascal 9 times out of 10. There's a reason he hasn't faced any fighters like that yet.
That is true he has kids and a wife. I don't know how boxers do it though but I couldn't spend a long time away from my spouse especially if we have kids. The woman I love would be spoiled by me. For now Im single though
Spot on here. Unless Pascal lands a crazy punch out his ass, he is going to get dominated. He has no real advantage of Dawson. Dawson would have to get real careless for Pascal to even have a chance. Keith
Dawson's got pretty much every advantage here. Speed, power, strength, boxing ability, defense, probably even takes a better punch.\ I don't think it's going 12.
I will be impressed if Dawson scores a ko, I think that will be a big statement from Dawson if he does get it though.
Omar Pittman had a 38% KO ratio and he seriously buzzed Pascal. Either fighter's chin could fail him in this won. However, I don't really expect that. I favor Dawson to take a pretty clear decision.
Yea, I agree here. Pascal has a chance in my mind with his unpredictable punching at times. And ecspecially agree that IF Dawson go a ko it would be great. But Dawson has said, he doesn't care about a KO, if he can win by boxing and taking 0 chances that's what he'll do, fans aren't on Dawson's mind.
