So i have been boxing for a long time and i have been a member on ESB for a while too. I usually don't need to ask for help too much on here but i'm in a pickle. I am beyond just about everyone at my gym's skill level, and the one's that have skill i outweigh by 40 lbs. I'm really running out of options as i have just about noone to spar anymore. the closest gym to me where there is adiquate competition is 80 miles away... can someone help? I feel like i've platued

Work on specific things in sparring. Set yourself targets, or ideally get your trainer to set them for you. Spar only using the jab stuff like that, who do you think Roy Jones jnr sparred with? Ray Robinson?

Isn't there someone who outweighs you significantly? You can get that person to go harder I guess, it'll give you something to consider in sparring.

K, whoever said get a car,and drive to a new gym i think u missed my post of the next gym being 80 miles away. Plus my coaches are awesome. And the people that outweigh me are terrible or don't come on a regular basis. I mean i'm getting coached while i'm sparring but its like i have to half ass most of my sparring just to convince the other guy i'm trying to learn to.. I did get my buddy scott to finally come in and he was a renowned amature and an okay pro till his manager ****ed him over but sessions like those are once in a very long while and i feel thats the caliber i need for my sessions cuz he makes me think and work hard

Pre exhaust before you spar occasionally.

Other then that set yourself training goals unrelated to boxing directly. Decrease your one mile run time, increase your 12 min cooper run distance, increase your 4 minute row distance. If you've palteud skillwise then challenge your body until your good enough to fught in championships. Thats your only option. There is no reason to plateu as a young boxer.
