I had it for Toney too, closer than you although I can't remember exactly.
Shame he didn't get the nod, that was really his last pretty good performance and I for one don't think he has another left in him.

Yeah, I love this fight, not the bull**** decision, but it was an entertaining fight and Toney's last solid performance. I agree with your score 7-4-1. I really wish he would have gotten the decision he deserved but that's what happens in our favorite sport time and time again.

I too had Toney ahead by a few rounds. Wonder what he will do after this fight he is having in the UFC.

The way Peter humiliated him in the rematch, I could care less. He made the sorry Peter look like Ali in the second fight.

As soon as they announced the winner of that fight, the first thought that went into my head was "ROBBERY!!".

Toney even as a slob at 233 pounds still out-scored Peter in 2006..... That was a classic POLITICAL butt-shafting on TV....... BUT! Peter in 2007 was in MUCH BETTER shape and clearly beat Toney, who also supposedly trained way harder but managed to show up at 234 pounds..... The hell?

8-4 was mine if memory serves, but don't do even rounds myself.

It was a very bad decision, but as said above a good HW fight. Peter won legitimately in the rematch, but it was less entertaining.

I recall when they announced Peter the winner, he was already running down the hallway, giggling like a giddy schoolgirl who had just stolen something. LOL

He just might, he's a heavyweight and it's a weak division. I just don't see him getting in shape and staying in shape.

He could definitely beat most of those guys. He might even be able to take Haye. But thats why Haye wont fight him, high risk low reward.

I had it 7-5 for Toney, and that giving Peter all the close rounds. Plus there was a point deduction for Peter if I remember correctly. A clear robbery.

It's even sadder when you consider that Toney was already the mandatory challenger for the WBC belt and he chose to fight Peter in between to stay busy. Toney could just have waited around to get his shot at the title, but that's not the way he does things...
