i really like ricky hatton and i am looking forward to see a man that can give floyd a tough night. oscar worked well against floyd but lacked in stamina. ricky is faster and hopefully will land more shots on the body. all you guys claiming ricky will get knocked out dont bet too much money on the pretty boy. the fight could be close and if we see a man going down it will be pretty boy in the first 5 rounds. after that i see floyd doing well and winning on points but hatton will pressure him from the very start. anyway i hope we will see a great fight between 2 unbeaten men.

Hatton and De La Hoya are two different styles of fighters. Hatton is more relentless and aggressive than DLH, attacks the body with more consistency, likes to get up close, and has better stamina. DLH is taller, rangier, has a better jab, and his parrying defense can be very effective, as it was against Mayweather.

I don't think Oscar was an easy fight for Mayweather and I don't think Hatton will be either. But ultimately I see this one being similar in the end as PBF-DLH, as PBF wins a 8-4 type fight.

as good as pbf's defensive is, if you don't think hatton will land you're fooling yourself. and if he land the shot that took out castillo it will take out mayweather too.

For maybe 3-4 rounds. Then Mayweather will be on cruise control to a wide UD.

This will be Mayweather's toughest fight to date without a doubt. He won't look like a "Pretty Boy" once this fight is over that's for sure.

People on here greatly underestimate Hatton and I think PBF knows himself he's in for the toughest fight of his life I don't care what crap he comes out with in public.

If Ricky can work his way inside behind a jab and move his head on the way in, he has the potential to give Mayweather some real trouble on the inside. But I think Mayweather wins this by wide UD.

Hatton isnt really a strong head puncher he is a body killer. So more than likely Floyd wont be scared too much for the simple fact that Hatton really doesnt have an effective jab comming in and when he gets in he focuses on the body and most likely will definitely focus on Mayweathers body to try and slow him down for later rounds. Hatton most definitely will look like a battered fighter not because he is insignificant but because thats just mayweathers style he will jab and pot shot him all night occasionaly hitting some flurries and Hattons swells pretty easily.

I think Hatton Cotto would be brutal both are looking to throw killer shots really no finesse and both like work on the inside. However, in this fight its not that Hatton cant do it its that his body stucture simply wont allow it. He doesnt have the reach to frustrate Floyd or keep Floyd from throwing a lunging hook he likes to throw as he used against many fighters. For Hatton to win so many things must take place which is why he is really in for a shock in that ring....i think the only fight Hatton has had to really bite down was Collazo and he was able to pull through but against someone like PBF who shows so many different attacks and defenses it would be hard for him to get down in this fight and come back. I truly think if hatton was longer and taller this fight is a toss up but because of his body stature and Floyds style and effectiveness it just is overwhelmingly a mismatch for him. This isn't underestimating Hatton i think even when getting beat he still will plow forward with tremendous pressure and still may land that shot i think against any other fighter its 50/50 because no one fights like PBF (cautious) most will get in there and mix it up and thats just up Hatton lane but PBF wont have that and that will force Hatton to switch up game plans and thats what i want to see...if hatton can switch gameplans against an elite fighter and still be effective. Pressure alone WONT win this fight.....he MUST find a way to win boxing as well.

Presure mxied in with skill, is exactly what will pull it out for Hatton if he does it. Boxing outside with PBF? Will only get him hit with right hands.

Floyd doesnt like pressure. The question is, can Hatton position himself without getting picked off on the way in?

If that happens? Floyds in trouble.

pressure with a JAB a solid jab. ODH and Cas both lengthy fighters who had the reach to punch in and jab in which kept Floyd at bay Hatton doesnt have that.....positioning himself wont mean anything because Floyd has great foot work, speed, movement and ring generalship. its NOT the pressure floyd doesnt like its the jab and punches that throw his TIMING off....like Judah did in the first couple rounds...like Cas did...like ODh did they could get there punches off Cas and ODH because they're length Zab because he was faster and could match PBF's reach as well....Hatton doesnt have these options he has to just come in he may try to throw a jab or punch but his arms are short and he doesnt have that kind of speed im not saying he is slow but his speed isnt anything floyd will be scared of he has seen pretty much the fastest already. This means it gives Floyd time to counter and we all know his countering ability.
