I'd go with Dirrell because I think he is the one who can outbox ward and I also believe that Ward cannot hurt dirrell. Dirrell is not a boxer who is afraid to punch and his jab might keep ward from attacking. These are my predictions: Dirrell UD Ward 116-112 Ward UD Froch 120-118 Ward UD Bute 116-112 Ward UD Abraham 117-111 Bute is fast but Ward can confuse him. Abraham's defense and power is great but Ward is just too good for him. Froch is........
I know people will laugh at this, but I really do believe Froch has the best chance. I dont think Ward will be able to push him around, cause Froch has long reach and is very strong, (the Jean pascal fight is an example)and Froch will probably headbutt you right back if Ward tried any of his dirty tactics.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCyTMOdAVks[/ame] Im not talking about the jab, but Im talking about This content is protected . Ward clearly goes in to fight dirty, and Froch will out of the other 5 fighters have most success with it, because he wont be pretty either.
I voted dirrrell but I actually see where your coming from on this 1. While froch is easy to hit he isn't easy to budge and will keep coming forward. I still say dirrell's speed gives him most problems (as I feel he could beat him to the punch if he is more aggressive) but I would agree froch would give him his second hardest fight.
Dirrell could be successfull too, but out of the 5 fighters who will have more success of fighting a dirty fight and headbutt right back if he gets headbutted it is Carl Froch.
Dirrell is the ONLY fighter in the Super 6 who I believe has a chance of beating Ward. Ward has been the most focused & consistent of all the boxers thus far but Dirrell in my opinion,is the most talented & naturally PHYSICALLY gifted. IF (big if) Dirrell is able to hold it together mentally,he wins this matchup & the whole tournament. I sincerely hope Dirrell does'nt turn out to be one of those fighters who showed great promise & potential but did'nt live up to it. To defeat Ward & win the Super 6,Dirrell has to be a cold, focused machine like Ward & not allow his emotions to affect & dictate his physical performance. If I were a betting man,I would go Ward but my heart and hope,is with Dirrell.
Although I picked Dirrell to run him (Ward) the closest, I was thinking the same thing with Froch :good I've not seen Ward/Green yet, but at the time of watching Ward/Kessler I wondered how Froch would have reacted to those sneaky headbutts and clinches. I'll be honest, I don't particularly like Froch, but I doubt for one second he'll get in to a shell and allow Ward to get the best of him. He'll either headbutt him back in his own mouth, or lock Ward's arms and fling him out of the f*cking ring. Which of course will work against him, as he'll feel the same frustration he had in the Dirrell fight. It'll be an interesting spectacle if Froch hasn't let that Kessler defeat dent his confidence as bad as we think. But in the end I just Ward will have too many tricks up his sleeve for him
Froch vs Ward would be all down to where its at. In UK froch allowed to foul and Ward loses points, and vice versa if Ward at home.
