Abraham punches even less than Green did last night in a fight.. He gonna be looking like Miranda all night trying to land that bomb.. All the while getting beat up in ways we didn't think would be imaginable... I mean if you look at it.. Abraham is small than Ward.. and Ward just bitched out the bigger Green,Kessler, Miranda.. So until proven otherwize he does the same in my book to Abraham and most Def Froch.. And for those who say a Kessler Rematch against Ward.. Expect more of the same.. Ward giving Kessler what he is not prepared for...

Yes, i like sluggers, so what , i would say 80% of fans prefer to watch a slugfest than a defensive bore.Thats got **** all to do with Ward's style of boxing.I hate Mayweather but he is unequaled in the boxing ring.Dirrell was infuriating against Froch but excellent against Abraham.I do appreciate when defensive boxers put on a clinic.Ward has the skill and power to dismantle and destroy Green inside 7 or 8 rounds but employs tactics to put the opponent of his gameplan, whatever it takes.

    As to your other points.

Are you telling me that you didn't enjoy Pavliks rise to the top and that he not an exciting boxer?

Cotto did resort to throwing low blows a few times.I don't particularly approve of those tactics but that doesn't detract from him being one of the more exciting boxers in the sport.

I watched Brewster take out Golota in a few seconds in their Chicago fight and followed his career more closely after that.I like him because he is all heart and its not often you see a club fighter make it to the top, albeit briefly.

You have non idea if Pacquia is on roids or not.Nothing was proven, its all speculation and Pacquia is without doubt the most exciting fighter on the planet.

    Not in agreement.

What Ward did was forced the fight inside. He wasn't doing the Jawny routine like we've seen from Klitschko and some others.

The difference here is that Ward was letting his hands go inside. Green was just confused. Having the longer arms/reach it was not beneficial for Green to be fighting like that and so some of the clinching was initiated by Green.

I would liken Ward's style closer to a Tim Bradley.

Tarver brought up a good point regarding Green. There was a lot he could have done to get off the ropes and back to the center but he was just frozen. Green is a learned boxer, Ward is a natural boxer. That was the major difference last night.

I mentioned Tarver and Pavlik as among Hopkins biggest fight, and he was no where near as dirty as Ward. First we talked big fights, then we talked prime Hopkins, remember idiot?

As I said before, I am no fan of an old Hopkins, the guy is 45 years old, of course he has had more dirty fights recently than Ward has had, but remember that Ward is only 26 years old, the guy is gonna top that very soon, when he is 34 he will probably be recognized as the dirtiest fighter who ever lived. A young Hopkins wasnt near as dirty as Ward is today. And who gives a **** if Hopkins admits it, at least it is better than lying.

Why is he getting away with it? Is the officiating that bad in America?

Yes its because of the hometown advantage. Wait till you see him fight in europe, he will be disqualified.

No doubt I'm a fan of Ward but how was I not neutral or not objective? Fact is Ward dominated Green by executing a perfect game plan. Do you think Green was completely neutralized because of Ward's "head pressing"? :patsch I think the key to Ward's victory was that he smothered Green's reach advantage and Green froze like a deer in headlights. :admin

Ward is a dirty fighter and uses his left arm to wrap around his opponent, that way he takes away Greenes right hand. I had no idea why Greene didnt just tie his man up so they could be seperated.
Every time he throws a punch he lounges in and ties his man up.

    Clinches, punch, clinch, punch

That **** has to be illegal

This comment is Gross.. hometown officiating is complaining about non existant low blows or Beltline punches (Abraham) Nasty behind the head puching or acts of fustration body slams (Froch) are you suggesting that Ward goes over seas and becomes a victim of this un balanced officating.. Take my words if you don't like some ones head on your chest while in close quarters or clinched maybe you need to find a differnt sport..
