imbeciles also mistake safety-first bicyclists for being professors of the sweet science whilst deeming down in the trenches guys with amazing skills for being brutish and crude because they actually take a high risk for a high reward.

Basically, people are poor at recognizing excellence in any art, and in martial arts like boxing this is true as well.
