Fights like Bika-Codrington remind of just WHY I love boxing. :yep This is one of the best action fights I've seen in a LONG time.
WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!! What a fight. True championship battle that was just wonderful. Two guys giving their all, down to the depths of their souls. One more reason why purses should be divided based on the winner and loser. These guys really fought the fight of the year.
Agreed! I was shocked that Codrington was able to stand up after being hit with some of those shots. And even when he did go down, he displayed a big heart. He wanted this fight bad and he fought his heart out - he just lost to the better man. A really great fight. Not exactly the epitome of the sweet science, but you really have to sit back and appreciate the show they put on. Great fighters aren't always necessary to have great fights. Congrats to Bika and good luck to Jaidon
I'll go against the grain and say that i liked watching Calzaghe - Kessler more than Bika - Cogrington. I even like Hopkins - Wright more than Bika - Codrington.
I liked the Peter/Mccline match better, Peters heart and will to comeback in the fight brought a tear to my eye.
Like I always say when other sports are great, they are great. When boxing is great, there is nothing like it Awsome fight :happy
Peter/McCline was a fun fight to be at live and definitely a shocker to see Peter go down 3 times. He showed heart and came back to outbox McCline. But in terms of sustained action, Bika/Codrington was a brutal slugfest. Whereas Peter/McCline was more tactcal after round 3.
Calzaghe-Kessler was more entertaining due to the higher level of skill with the action, but Hopkins-Wright was sleep inducing, barely watchable. I was only able to watch Hopkins - Wright due to having a pretty large bet on Bernard, the replay had no re-watchability, it was an awful fight, just awful.
