Where would he rank among HW champs of all time if he beat RJJ, being the FIRST man to REALLY defeat RJJ?

Puh-leez. Ruiz couldn't win a fight within the rules against ANY world class fighter. :-(

It wouldnt prove anything to me, Ruiz' can beat anyone on any given night if hes allowed to excessively all night.

He would still rank well below the 45 year old version of George Foreman. Take that for what it's worth

This never happened so it's senseless to even try to ponder about what could have been. John lost and that's that. It is what it is.

Ruiz wouldve won hadnt Nady blatantly kept Ruiz within distance from Jones where Ruiz could unleash his patented Bearded Glory Sneaky Right and decapitate Jones.

ruiz got a bum deal in that fight. i had him winning 116-114. he sat back on his laurels in the last few rounds, admiring his work, and wound up with a deal similar to de la hoya - trinidad. you didn't exactly see roy jones begging for a rematch after that one, did you? i've got ruiz squeezed in just between jack johnson and rocky marciano as #4 on my all time list. can he move up to #1 before he retires? no doubt the quiet man knows, but he's not talkin'.
