The myth of Allan Green's power?

KO% can be deceptive. Some guys have the power but they're not good enough to make it work for them as often as a lighter hitting precision puncher for instance.

 

Well, I thought Green was going to KO Andre Ward. Green does have devastating power ( see the Cordington fight) he just couldnt land it on Ward.

 

But.. but.. he knocked out Jaidon Codrington!!

But saying he is the worst of the S6 is obvious... hes an alternate, B level stand in.

 

Dirrell didn't KO AA and Froch though. A better comparison would be to list the top fighters they have knocked out.

 

Lou DiBella must be really pissed off right now. First Jermain Taylor gets knocked right out of the tourney. Then Allan Green puts in a terrible performance and makes excuses. Did anyone notice DiBella glaring at Green after the fight? I thought he was going to pistol whip him right there in the ring.

Kessler didn't KO any of the fighters you listed, in fact he lost to 2 of them. Froch only KOed a shot concussable JT. If Green gives MK a tough fight or beats him we know where MK really stands. We know where Froch stands, BARELY getting by a shot JT, losing to a green as fresh cut grass Dirrell at home and losing to a shot Kessler. Styles make fights and let's just wait and see how it unfolds. If he gets sparked by Green he should retire. If he blows him out, good for him. But Green is not going to as easy for MK as he was for Ward, with the style clash I just don't see it.

 

Indeed. And even if he does land on Kessler, we know the man can take a shot. His puncher's chance is not good.

Allen Green is a joke. I thought this fight with Ward was gonna be something to watch & what did he do? NOTHING!

Thats it for him. Wasted talent, if you can call having (or had) a good left hook as talent.

I remember when that white boy form Oklahoma almost put his lights out on ESPN a few years ago. He should have finished off his carreer that night & saved us all alot of frustration!

 

It was easy. I just called him, said I had this little Hagvatar war with a poster named Boxed Ears.

"Boxed Ears?" he said. "Sounds like a chump. Anything for you Boggle. You're a great friend, and one tough son of a *****."

He put on the shirt, had his wife take a picture and the rest is history.

That Hag with hair picture is crazy. He's almost unrecognizable. He's gotta be early 20's there?
