Golota did entertain me............that was his job. I don't see the point of hating on the man. EVEN BREWSTER who is on here knocking him out, people calling him the "Gatti" of HW's for a while QUIT on his stool rather than going out on his shield vs. Wlad. So to single out AG is wrong, Brewster has quit too when it got rough. Tyson has QUIT.................

Golota doesnt need extra money. The guy made millions during his career, and invested his money wisely. His wife has her own law-firm in Chicago, and surely he doesnt need to be doing stupid census commercials to make ends meet.

Just you taking a hit at a top 90s fighter who had all the tools except the proper mentality. It is no shock to anybody Golota was a slow starter, and susceptible to getting swarmed in the first 2 rounds of a fight.

He never lost a fight in the distance. Either he got blasted in the first 2 rounds, or he threw it away himself. A great fighter who couldnt deal with pressure. Honestly speaking there are so many horrible, undedicated fighters out there, especially now, but you choose to take a step back in time to throw some more **** on AG. In todays HW division a prime Golota wipes the floor with everyone, and gives both Klitschkos a hell of a fight with an unpredictable ending.

HBO was never kind to Golota, although they kept showing him because he was a draw. Larry Merchant especially. Posting biased clips showing AGs short comings doesnt take away from any of his achievements, in being a TOP HW contender in one of the best eras of HW history.

Even years past his prime he still managed to beat both Byrd and Ruiz in two HW title fights in which if he didnt get robbed blind would have been a HW Champ holding 2 straps.

This thread is .. stu_id fill in the blank.

BS!!! He was better than the "very best". He just lacked the ability to maintain focus & concentration. If not for this obsticle, he would have been a living hell for any HW.

Golota is a character. My favorite story is when he got pulled over by a cop for speeding and impersonates a police officer TO A REAL POLICE OFFICER and brings out his honorary police badge and claims he's a cop. Then he gets arrested for impersonating a police officer. Almost as good as former NBA player Olden Polynice, who TWICE got arrested for impersonating a cop. Apparently he thinks that there are a lot of 7 foot tall police officers roaming around and that he won't stand out.

Agreed, it was the lack of his mental capacity.

americans and especially american tv will never admit that golota was the one who ruined bowe they will stick to their dream it was hollyfield they just dont want to ruin their american dream that 'we are the best'

thats why they lost interest in todays heavyweight boxing since they dont rule the division

and if you keep to tv comentators follow lampley on golota-mollo fights he describe golota as golota looks as the best in the division in some rounds at those fights with bowe

by the way why dont you americans call for example oscar de la hoya a quitter? as he surely quit againt pac-man atleast and believe me pac-man punching power is not near as big as tyson for example
