The liklyhood is Wandy will be out well into next year.

This video is well worth a watch despite being nearly 10 minutes long. Wandy reminds me alot of Kevin Randleman. Watch the video and you'll see why...

This man doesn't need to explain anything to anyone (the word I'm looking for is "Class") - if he doesn't fight, there's no other reason than he's too hurt to go.

I really hope he gets back to 100% (or as much as he's capable of being, at this point in his career) and fights again ASAP.

He's a class act. Can't think of many other fighters who would make a video just to explain to his fans why he's injured and has to pull out of a fight. Looked like he was getting a bit emotional there as well. He's got passion that's for sure.

Wandy's been through a lot in his career and he's given fans of MMA a lot of great moments to look back on. If this were to be the end of his career, he'd still go down as an absolute legend and one of the best 205 pounders to ever fight in MMA.

This video shows why he has so many fans worldwide. He cares about pleasing his fans so much that he makes an almost 9 minute video to explain the reason why he dropped out of the fight with Akiyama. Previously he had to have his nose repaired, which if I recall correctly had been broken for some time and hindered his breathing horrifically.

Hopefully he can recover through his strength and will, come back after a strong recovery and be 100%, maybe get a fight with Akiyama or even someone like a Marquardt or Sonnen at 185 once he returns. Who knows what the landscape will look like at Middleweight in 2011.

the man is sincere and loves his fans so much that he felt compelled to make this video to basically apologize.

though i'm not necessarily a fan he won points with me for this interview.

The thing that amazes me is the extent of his injurys. Much like Kevin Randleman and Coleman both fought despite career and potentially life threatening injurys. These guys were warriors to the very last.
