Talking down to people? What the **** man. You're quite a delicate creature aren't you? How the **** did you last four years in this place. My initial post consisted of two parts. This is me asking an honest question. As you seem to be aware of the fact that it's just air escaping, how would it effect anything? Again, a genuine question. And this is my way of telling you that you do not dictate who posts in your thread. Being the thread starter gives you no extra privileges, this forum is open to all. If anything you were the one being condescending. I had no idea I was dealing with such a fragile person though, I'll be more considerate next time :good
lol u guys are funny..im no expert but i have done a bit of research on this as my knees, neck, back, fingers, shoulders all crack lol apparantly it is gases escaping the joints but if u do this too much it can also weaken the joints. there was also a guy who cracked his left hand every day for 50 years and not his right hand and both worked fine with no noticible differences. he won an award i forget the name though. anyway i wouldnt worry about it too much, its not going to affect you in the ring..i personally feel better after cracking joints lol
If strengthening your neck and doing weight exercises for your neck to make it stronger and able to absorb punches better actually does improve your punch resistance, I would say that cracking your neck decreases it. Cracking your neck, loosens the ligaments and can cause hyper mobility in your spine. I.e. it will make your neck and head move more when you get punched in the head. To which extend this is a factor for punch resistance i am not entirely sure. But if it does have a significant effect i would say that cracking your neck is bad for punch resistance. I'm by no means an expert,it just seems like common sense.
Short answer - No I can't quite see where you would make the connection with clicking you neck making your chin better. It's like saying cracking your knuckles makes you punch harder
