would be an unbelievable 3 round fight imo, both fighters gettin hurt but i'd back benn to come out on top.

Benn was always most dangerous after he'd been down, but people didn't get up when Jackson put them down. You had to get to him first. That's basically what this fight would come down to.
    I think Jackson by KO.

Of course I'm comparing prime vs prime, and not necessarily when they were both at 160. Jackson was a bit past it at that point.

Average fighters? In his prime he only lost to McCallum and McClennan.
The other losses came when he was long past it......
So that s a lame explanation....

Who kept Jackson down? Jackson was stopped on his feet against McCallum, McClellan, and Taylor (if I remember correctly), the latter 3 being after Jackson had some serious eye problems.

Naturally, I meant both Benn and Jackson in/near their primes, and Jackson didn't lose to any average fighters until he was old and far past his best.

Thomas Tate looked good against him and had him wobbled a few times...

    Benn.
Jackson had huge, almost freakish power but Benn had more all round for me, and was naturally the bigger and stronger guy.
He also stood up to the shots Mclellan threw ,the same ones that ****ed Jackson right up.

I think Nigel Benn would have blown him out in Gerald McClellan fashion.

Julian always had those fists though, that could put anyone out cold.

I'm a bit biased as Nigel is my favourite fighter....but I really don't see how Julian Jackson's boxing skills could keep Benn away. The best chance Jackson would have would be to rush Benn in an early onslaught, because I doubt he'd be able to take Benn's bombs. In my mind the Michael Watson fight in my eyes made Benn a better all-round fighter, against that Benn Jackson has no chance. Pre Watson I would possibly give it to Jackson as Benn was more open and reckless.
