Shane Carwin gets short changed - Why Fedor should stay in M1/Strikeforce

It hasn't been that long since the UFC was bought and about to go bust a couple of times. They had to spend alot of money. I know Rampage and co want to get paid but they didn't do anything more than Dana and his bestest buds. It cost many mils to do what they did.

There are like 3 guys (all Dana White puppets) that make all the money. Mir only got 45k for his title shot vs Lesnar. It is a ****ing joke. White is a greedy ******* and the UFC's pay scale is a joke.

the guy signed (still signed?) to fight overeem and if ANYONE followz MMA unbaisedly and carefully focusez on ALL SOURCEz of RELEVENT MMA informationz they would already know that overeem dispite only being great a few yearz back has grown (litterally and steriodly speakin) leapz and boundz in hiz experience and techniquez. the guy is litterally one of the best in the world and i would not be the LEAST bit surprised to see overeem take fedor out and of course if he did it would be bad however it went down otherwise it wouldnt go down

additionally overeem IMO is one of the guyz outside the UFC that i would give a 50% 50% shot at beating brock who i happen to think is pretty dam good even if carwin clockz him right out then i would give overeem same oddz against carwin. overeem is FAST. very FAST. very QUICK and lotz of mobility. he has alot of CONFIDENCE of late. he has become WAY MORE powerful in the last 5 yearz because of the weight room n ovaltine shakez. the guy goes for FAST wicked submissionz in the blink of a EYE. is his chin good ? no it aint good as far as the TOP chinz are concerned but either is vlad klitchkoz chin and u already get that point now dont u

Didn't Chris Leben just make an $85,000 bonus in his last fight? Seems to be a nice incentive for these fighters to put on a show when they have a chance to win a bonus that is easily double their purse.

 

Many of these fighters have their own gyms that provide the bulk of their incomes. However; I doubt this is the case for Carwin. His style of thumping down people like an enraged chimp is not real workable for most. Who knows he may be routinely hitting triangles and omo platas in his training but I somehow doubt it.

How many buys will Carwin-Lesnar do? It's $50 a buy? That's a whole lot of money even if it's only 300k buys. $40k is an absolute disgrace.

 

Rampage versus Rashad did over 1 million, so I bet this one is going to do over 1 million, too.

Compard to how much UFC is going to bring in and that he is in the main event 40k is next to nothing. I bet Brock will probably make at least 20 times that amount with a PPV % cut, if he gets one.

The UFC's system literally breeds hungry fighters. Shane is a top draw, he is one of the UFC's best and he holds the belt. $40,000 to show + $40,000 for a win is simply pathetic. Fedor not only get his fight fee, he also get the consultation fee, as well as the money from broadcasting his fights internationally etc. He is clearly the highest paid MMA fighter, why would he want to drop to UFC level pay? That pay probably wouldnt be enough for his entourage's flight, lodging and spending money to America.

With the org running the show your end up with an unfair contract and low pay. With the fighter running the show, its the fighter who benifits and gets most of the money.

Fedor does fight the top comps. These UFC HW you talk about has only ever fought ONE top ten each in their whole career.

 

Fedor makes allot from sponsors, M1 doesnt really limit sponsorships on Fedor. The UFC on the other hand has to approve sponsors. This was the reason why Dan Henderson left the UFC.....because the UFC refused to have him advertise his own CLINCH GEAR products, they instead wanted him to promote TapOut.

 

Not everyone get a PPV cut, really only just a handful of fighters. From what Carwin has said, it seems that he is one of the fighters that doesnt get a PPV cut....so really its just $80,000 for him.
