Just saw this fight for the first time...I remember Stracey fighting Dave boy Green, one of my first boxing memories...But the Palomia fight was brilliant.
Would recommend it if you ain't seen it :good

    Yep, top fight...:yep

ESPN and Buncey have been showing some great fights recently that will be repeated for certain. They showed a great contest with Hedgemon Lewis the other night...:yep

Them guys didn't waste time either, 3 hard tough contests in 6 months at times...:happy

    Respect...:deal

Yeah i saw it on ESPN Classic..Palomina's exocet jab, both mens' resillience , Lawless in the corner telling his man stay down..shame i had to watch it on my own!

3 fights like that in a lifetime would finish most fighters i reckon:yep

I'm watching this ESPN classic in a hotel - can i get it on Sky at home?

Love Palomino calculatingly breaking down Stracey in this fight, the body attack is brutal.

Palomino is a massively underrated Welterweight IMO, with an eye watering body attack and a formidable chin. He was like a better version of Margarito, applying calculated pressure with intelligence.

I'd favour him to beat Honeyghan, Cuevas, De La Hoya and other Welters of that quality. Durans victory over him was something only a truly great fighter could achieve: they aren't many of them I'd pick Palomino to beat in all honesty.
