 Mayweather has proven himself against much better competition than Lacy and Pavlik did at the time

It's not suppost to be because of size or who's better coz, the fight is not done yet between them... It should be by accomplishment... Floyd did what compare to Pac?... Maybe a lot by opening his big mouth a self proclaimed best fighter:rofl..

Pac has had some exciting fights, and a lot of stoppages and he deserves his award, but exctiing fights still don't make him BETTER than mayweather.

A combination of style, skills, and reach advantage make Floyd the slight favorite to win this fight. Only time will tell if Pac's heart, speed, stamina, angles, footwork, and punch resistance can overcome Floyd's advantages.

I can guarantee the opposite will prove true. Smart money tends to show late, the line will continue to widen in favor of Mayweather.

Gerald, there is already a thread about this topic.

But to answer your question, Pac's best weight is not really at WW but at JWW. Pac being very competitive at WW is just a testament to his greatness. Who do you favor to beat him at 140lbs? Can Floyd beat Pac at 140lbs?

Pac will always be underestimated at welter. Just look at his last 4 fights. "Too small." They'll say the same thing again about this one.

I say let them make Pac the underdog. It works in his favor.

I'm far from making a decision on this one, but the fight with Clottey did show he can take a decent punch at WW and Floyd is not a puncher. Pac detractors are all to eager to point out how marked up he was after the Clottey fight. Clottey is a big WW. That is why that fight was an important one. I wouldn't be inclined on putting money on a Floyd stoppage against Pac.
