well in that case i hope kessler wins froch is the most exciting however abrham hits the best Dirrel is fastest Ward maybe the most complete and Green is a sub? I think Kessler may win it all i like his experience and knowledge to trump some of these guys
moo betta Kessler does have a good draw for Stage 3 vs Allen Green. He just coming off an ass-manhandling by Andre Ward. Confidence peg a notch lower... a win will guarantee him to get into the semi-finals brackets and hope he does well whoever he gets matched up against. Just realized, in the bracket semis, there's a GOOD chance fighters will end up fighting a same fighter they had fought in the short-term round robin! There could be an Andre Ward vs Mikkel Kessler2 in the semi-finals or finals! A chance for redemption!
Bute should be in the tournament, but he's not. Not sure how the promo'rs figured it out, if its preset or determining it upon the new fight, i dont think Ward's 3rd fight is going to be in Oakland. I remember the commentators in the Ward/Green fight post-fight saying something about the Andres' fighting in europe...
I think the super six is exciting times for boxing fans, unfortunately, there was a VERY SERIOUS misunderstanding initially with venues and time. I would have much preferred a super 8 with Bute and Kelly Pavlik included, with SOLID agreements, punishable financially or via deduction in points to a fighter that opposed the contract signed by said fighter and promoter. The super six seems like it is taking a LOT longer then anyone initially had thought. Does not matter, I am excited about Froch vs AA, I mentioned this will be a FOTY candidate when the super six schedule was first announced!
great intentions.... but you complaining about a 6man tournament being too long, you think an 8man tourney would be shorter, lol? They probably would have to introduce a 4th Stage. Supposedly, i read one poster that said they didnt have enough money draw to get Lucian Bute's promotion. Dont know if thats valid or not, and thats the only info ive seen why he's not in the tourney. Kelly Pavlik was busy being a Middleweight champion and defending 2 belts! At that time, i dont think he was considering moving up to SMW, UNTIL Martinez came along and outshined him...
Well you bring up good points as well friend, but the only reason I am complaining about the delays is because of the discussions about venues, and I think you will agree, there were a couple of "suspicious" injuries that delayed the scheduling and proposed "venue changes" because of the injuries. I will not elaborate if you follow boxing you should no what I am talking about.:thumbsup
Allan Green overtrained and his weight of 166 proves it all. He beat himself that night, not Ward. Look for Green to destroy Kessler.
Andre Ward who is not know for his power was going to take out Green in the latter half of the fight, I have Kessler by Knock out in rounds 7 thru 9, wound not be surprised if it is earlier.
ughhh, another hater that looks to discredit a good victory.... whats new? the funny thing about the Haterz, their reasoning and PoV is so ******ed and flawed... its never ANYTHING that the victor did in the ring, its everything about what the loser did OUT of the ring lawwlllzz makes me think the person's the same way in life....
He not in the super 6 dummy. Whats he got to do with it... NOTHING. Wake up Robert you're on the wrong thread again
same here vs Green. Kessler lucked out with an easy draw for Stage3. Kessler is coming off a strong win over a european rival and Green is coming from being stomped and dominated by Ward. One has a +1 in confidence, the other a -1. Both are punchers, so stylistically no one's gonna trump. Kessler has WAY better fundamentals than Green. His fundamentals is what got his win over Froch. Kessler has a stronger chin than Andre Ward. I dont expect him to get knocked out by Green. There's a VERY GOOD CHANCE Allen Green will come in under 80% yet again... at least that'll be what he claims when he loses. Our favorite fighter analyst(not really, mine is Lennox Lewis) summarized it up with this comment at the end of the Ward/Green postfight - Gus Johnson - Champ, as for Allen Green, alot of excuses. You talked about that. We saw it at the end of the fight tonight. He said he came in light, he said that he was drained. But we have seen him make excuses about fights which he hasnt performed very well in the past. Antonio Tarver - yeah, basically you know, you need to do away with all that, Allen (Green). You're still a great fighter. You gotta believe in yourself. And you gotta take it upon yourself to do the work, come in great shape, mentally and physically. You're not gonna be able to bully these guys at THIS level. You're gonna have to put in the work and become a better fighter. You got a training camp to do that, and get ready for Mikkel Kessler, and we wanna see the best Allen Green the next time out. ~ telling it how it is, he gets +5 points for a no BS talkdown!
amateur fights and tournaments are a pretty good place to get lots and lots of trophies if you fight enough, just saying. don king and the trinidad/hopkins trophy, rofl lots of trophies around to be had
Double A will chase Ward into a corner and release the hounds of hell upon him. Arthur Abraham is gonna win the whole ball of wax, and will TKO Froch in his next step. Double A for the win, Alex. Count on it.
