JG, Your words paint a vivid picture for the imagination concerning SRR. Those combinations flowed and carried dynamite with them...it's unbelievable that each punch carried power.
Imagine SRR and SRL standing in the center of the ring exchanging punches with one another, it would just be a blur of speed with their punches carrying knock out intent.
I have always thought that Gavilan really effected Robinson with feinting. This does not appear to be the case now, wonder where the thinking that Gavilan made Robinson struggle with feints came from?
Incidentally the photographer for this photo won the 'Photo of the Year Award of 1948' , you can see why...
