From what I gather it seems as though Robin Reid is generally well-liked by the British public while Carl Froch is definitely not.

So my question is this: how is Carl Froch supposed to endear himself to the British fans by beating up on an old and shopworn Reid? Especially when Reid seems to be one of British boxing's likeable fighters.

He isn't, he just needs a well known name on his record instead of the nobodies he has fought so far.

Im looking forward to this fight very much! However, the build up has been a major disappointment. I was on here a while back talking about how I was looking forward to fireworks in the build up, & Froch at least tried to oblige by having a few digs at Reid. However, Reid has went down the boring route of saying hes "not going to take the bait" & as a result, the build up has been a bit of a damp squib.

still though, we all know Reid is a sore loser & a dirty fighter, so I expect the fight to have some good moments while it lasts! However, its the classic fighter on the up vs fighter on the way down scenario, & I expect Froch to retire Reid on his stool in the second half of the fight. Frochs trademark uppercut will sicken Reid.

Froch is another guy like Gomez that regardless if you love him or hate him, you cant help yourself but always look forward to his fights:good

reid's getting a payday and he knows it. froch looks lazy and easy to hit when he drops his left hand, but he hits hard and you can't argue with his stoppage record.

Froch was class on Soccer am, nothing like his usual im charlie big bollocks. Reid is possibly the most shot fighter in the UK and I fully expect Froch to smash him to pieces. It goes for as long as Carl wants it to go IMO.

Last fight at domestic level. He'll fight (imo) for the vacant WBC title when Joe Calzaghe vacates.

Reid ... i like the guy, but he's past it.

froch is a bum with a big mouth, bigger nose and low hands. british people dont tend to warm to arrogance and froch loves himself far to much.

i hope reid whips him ... but i dont think it will happen. reids fight against otke marked a downward spiral for the big man

I can only describe Froch's public image as pantomime villain. He's almost trying to be the white Chris Eubank... it takes all sorts I suppose and it's better than being a

How CAN you even think of comparing the sophisticated and amazing Eubanks IN ANY WAY with Carl Froch?

Trying...hmmm...it's like I would "try" to run the 100m in under 12 seconds...I might as well try to run it under 10...it ain't gonna happen...
