Floyd's not the first to proclaim himself being the greatest. Ali did the same during his time but Ali was well loved by the fans while Floyd is much hated. Ali was a trash talker like Floyd but Ali backed his trash talks with action while Floyd backs his trash talks with shits!:-(

if you watch floyds fights when he was young and you hear goerge forman say over and over, "this kid is something special" and lederman say i havent seen ring generalship since..... then obviously that means something. floyd is a character, but his fight game is great. u see him do so many styles in the ring in one fight. agressive, box, stay in the pocket, counterpunch. How many things do we see hatton do. go forward? pacman? forward. he never channged his style in any fight, if he could maybe he wouldnt have lost vs marquez and morales.

He'd be appreciated as a master boxer. Willie Pep was appreciated, so naturally Floyd would be as well.

Floyd looked like a drunken fool in the second round. He does not take tough fights because tough fights need dope chins. Floyd does not a have a terrible chin by any means he just has the chin that if he makes one mistake a great fighter will knock him out.
If he fought the best of the best just mathematically he would have been tested like in the Mosley fight and we all know a guy a little younger and not out of the ring for 18 months would have finished him in rd2.

 

You think Mosley would have won if he was younger? I think not,
1) Floyd wanted to fight Mosley when he was undefeated and P4P 1#, after he beat Oscar check it on youtube, larry merchant asking if mosley would be willing 2 fight Floyd, shane started talkin about a tooth ache (punk move)
2) no matter what ppl think about Floyds opinion of other boxers it should matter because its "HIS" opinion, jus like "YOU" have "YOUR" opinion of Floyd
3) no matter what u think about Floyd if u truly understand boxing u would recognise that he is the most skilled and complete fighter 2 enter the ring in the last 10-12 yrs
come on boxing fans, hate the man if u want but respect his talent

 

floyd is great and i am a big fan. But if he turns down the fight in november i will disown him. how can you say you are the best ever and better then anybody but refuse to fight somebody?
