That Campbell looks to be an uninspiring addition to the domestic heavyweight scene.

    :tired

Because he looks way too stiff (mummy like), is ponderous, not a great defence, slow, lacking in punch variety etc. It was only his first fight, and against a tricky journeyman, but at 34 I don't see how he can make any major improvements and I cannot see him making a big impact on the domestic scene.

I was coming back from the bogs and Bracco still looked completely out of it being led back to the dressing room. The guy was a corpse on legs, good stoppage imo :deal

He looked a million dollars walking in with the shoulder roll and then hadn't a ****ing clue when he got there. Swaby was laughing his **** off at how easy it was to turn him on the ropes. Pointless exercise turning pro at that age

Live it looked a bit of a **** stoppage but watching it again I can understand why the referee stepped in.

No point him taking any more, he was way out of his depth.

Does anybody remember the last time an Italian won a title fight on these shores?

It probably was.... that seems like ages ago.

Maludrottu is probably the best of any Italian to come here recently, came to win against Munroe as well.

There's probably a shortage of good continental boxers in the lower weights, certainly not at the higher ones - it's just that they don't come to our attention because they generally ignore the European title.

And why not - an interalphabetty gets you in the top 10 of the said organisation, the European might get you in the top 15 of the WBC.

    What makes more sense?

Marve, We really didn't get to see how good Rodrigo was as he struggled to get to grips with McDonnell's big reach advantage from the start. He in truth looked badly hurt when the stoppage came and did not argue with the referee. To his credit he took the defeat with a bit of class.

you keep on saying that rodrigo not and' a champion.I say that mcdonnel and the referee have been scandalous.the meeting could go on very well, the hits of jamie were not heavy.I would be ashamed if I were the arbiter.but and' this way.the Italian to the foreign countries lost always.......
