    Hello all,

Is anyone going to cardiff for the long weekend at the end of the month?
I hear that the fighters may be doing a bus tour around the city, does anyone have any more details on this? Also, whats the best place to be to get a collection of photographs and perhaps autographs from some of the boxers?

    Cheers

I spoke to the director of the whole event a couple of weeks ago when he visited the gym, and it's all still going ahead according to him.

Anyone coming to Cardiff for this and can't get a decent hotel, I can sort you out a no frills B&B deal. ;)
My gym just happens to have a B&B (and a pub!) built into it!

I would go to this but the ticket prices are ludicrous.

£20!!! that's not ludicrous. Yeah, you can pay up to £250, but ticket prices start from only£20 -- where do you get your info?!

Putting out latest list of champs this week. Both Klitschko's expected, and a host of others.

Bus ride not on now because Cardiff has a mardi gras march at same time, but there will be plenty of opps for fans to meet champs on streets, get autographs, etc.

There's a big carnival, with live music, funfair, etc also going on in Cardiff that weekend. And first chance to see some of British European medallists fight on home turf.

All rubbish about 'ludicrous' ticket prices -- £20 is price of majority of seats. This is meant to be a festival for ordinary fans, so prices reflect that.

Well actually I stand by what I say. In my opinion the likelyhood of meeting boxers on the street when there's nothing going on on the street is a little far fetched.

The film starts at 18:30 on the Thursday night which is what the £20 tickets are for. The £20 tickets are actually £25.85 which will no doubt be some crap seat at the back of the venue considering the hospitality tickets are priced at £152.16 ( I wonder which tickets will have me sitting with the Champs ???

The second night the boxing starts (doors open) at 6pm. So nothing during the day. and ringside seats are £62.28/£122.79 - You can't really tell me i'm gonna be rubbing shoulders with the World Champs in the Second tier seats when the hospitality package costs £240.88

The last nightt is the 'Night of the Champions Awards dinner' - The one chance you are probably gauranteed to meet the boxers and tickets on your website are £299.63. Thats not reasonable to fans of a sport which is steeped in Working Class history. And where does the extra £49.63 charge come from considering tickets are advertised at £250 ???

At the very most i'd go to Cardiff and walk around the City during the day.... however with Cardiff hardly being the epicentre of fashion retail/history (no offence to anyone from there) i'll hardly be anticipating the likes of the Klitschko's or any other world champions (past or present) to be out and about cutting loose in the vast array of fine restaraunts.

I'd like to know this as well.

Surely a booking fee for a £20 ticket is the same as a £250 ticket, or a £750 ticket, or whatever?

It's still someone sat on the end of a phone taking credit card details after all.

As usual, the fans get ripped off :-(

spot on there, some of the Spin around this event really makes me laugh .i remeber they were saying that manny was goign to be there or something like that.

The prices for the amatuer boxing is unbeleivable,i looked at it thought it might be alright but considerng its the amatuers they need a reality check ...

and for the night of champions, why do they advertise one price but you pay another, why the big mark up .you wonder how many of the advertised fighters, will actually turn up .

the klits are supposed to be there, why is there nothing on there website?this is what i mean .why hasent lennox updated his facebook to confirm it ?
