No, haven't had that problem. Should be able to tell by hip movement, as well as a few other suddleties, no?
Unless you have serious problems with cuts I wouldnt bother with the full face guard. You dont want to be getting hurt day in day out, but it is good to get used to taking a few stingers in the face in training, that way you wont be stunned by the pain in a real fight. If its affecting your vision in there its no good.
Unless you get paid to fight or have a shark fin for a nose, don't get a full face guard. Nothing is worse than sending jabs and straights down the middle on a guy who is "invincible" due to spending and extra $150 on full face gear. It is very corny.
But seriously even with the headgear that comes round the cheekbones is hard enough to see the shots coming
why would you want that? the whole point is to get hit. kind of takes away the point IMO. plus if it messes up your bvson there's no reason.
whole point is to get hit i fort it was HIT AND DONT BE HIT. i dnt mind taking a sweet one in my bouts but in sparring no point taking flush shots if it can be prevented. i have one with the bar and i had trouble on the inside seeing shots not to bad now iv got use to it.
yeah but if you wear a full faced headguard i think that's kind of pointless yeah that's what I meant but it's still not very smart to use something like that.
It's not pointless. It protects your face. Not everyone wants to get black eyes and broken noses. I just use a mexican style headgear with the cheekbone protectors and that gives good protection under the eyes and protects the nose some too. I can see fine with it. Never tried one witht he full facebar.
I have always hated headgear for the false sense of security. If you can't see discard it. If your getting hit too much w/o it train harder to avoid getting hit as much.
