Dont you think these guys have had kinda similair careers? I mean both long time champs in their divisions, didn't get their biggest wins until way past 30, often underrated before this, accused of fighting mediocre opponents in their primes, against their 'biggest opponents' ie Lacy and Trinidad, both underdogs and both put on an asswhuppin. Then got more good wins ie Tarver, Wright, and Kessler respectively. I reckon there are remarkable comparisons and it would be a fitting end to both their careers for them to face each other. Undoubtedly 2 of the best of their generation.

It's debatable if they're even from the same generation.

They are very similiar career wise, only with Hopkins having the better names on his resume, while Calzaghe having the better record.

Yeah i think that they are kinda similar.

I dont think they have similar styles: Hopkins is an orthodox counterpuncher and Calzaghe is a swarming southpaw.

Not really similar styles, but their style do the same thing, take the other fighter off their game plan, and confuse them..

Actually talking about Joes style. He's genius like in his adaptiveness. He's a jack of all trades and excellent at all.
