...but unfortunately it's standard practice in the game. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGBdABIsoEI&playnext_from=TL&videos=iHRujtuGNX8[/ame]
That as it goes is a very very mild weight cut !!! , there aint no problems there ....................
Ultimate in stupidity. And for what the illusion that they'll peform better at the lower weight and match up kilo for kilo? If your a heavyweight fight there. I would imagine he walks around at 230/240. If so get a decent strength and conditoning coach and fight at heavy. Cutting lbs is only dangerous to your health it can cost your your life.
Alot of these guys think they are holding advantages but the truth is that their sharpness is affecting as is their stamina and recuperative abilities and chin etc etc etc Numerous fighters have moved up in weight, reduced the cut and looked much better - Khan, Corrales, Cotto etc MMA are cutting scarier then boxing. Healthy MMA are cutting 20+ pounds. Guys like Toney and Mayorga do that in boxing. In MMA, it's guys like Tito, Forrest, GSP etc
Talking about life being on the line. Did any one else hear about that guy who died recently doing MMA? I'm sure they said some thing about it on MMA live.
6'9" and 155, WTF?? That guy must have been a walking skeleton, there's no way that could be safe. I remember seeing Corey Hill's leg snap a couple years ago. That was another dude that had no business fighting at 155 as tall as he was.
Pac is a perfect example as to why guys should fight closer to their natural weight. When Pac back was down at fly he was getting KO'ed. As he moved up literally EVERYTHING got better.
100%. ****ing Nadal had him on ***** street with a jab. Up at 140 and 147 the guy is taking shots I would have bet he couldn't take. The more he doesn't cut weight, the better he becomes.
Yep, at 135, he was weighing what Floyd was at welterweight. At 140 and 147 he is sharper and much more durable. I even think his endurance may be improving.
