should i do any training today, also what preparations should i take tomorrow. like whats the best pre fight meal, should i do any light training before the fight? warm up for how long that kinda thing? thanks everyone
Amateur? I'd suggest no training today, unless your not on weight. Just chill out and relax all day...try not to expend too much energy. Your coach should give you a good warm-up, so you shouldn't really worry about that. Good luck! :good
yeah amateur, thanks for that dude. ive made the weight, 11st 10lbs. feel fit and strong. little nervous though.. maybe 50% excited 50& nervous lol
I was crapping myself before my first bout. Only listen to your coach...before a bout, all of a sudden everyone is a boxing expert. :good
Just do waht you do on a normal day, Energy isn't like a petrol tank, if you try and save it - you'll just slow your metabolism down and feel tired. Just chill, stay active- shadow box if you get a bit edgy and if you've trained right you'll do the business.
Just relax, oh and be prepared for your opponent to start swinging like a windmill. He's going to come straight at you wild and crazy.
& remember to leave it all in the ring, & a tight guard nothing worse than gettin caught cold resultin in premature stoppage
Good luck, and remember....the other guy will have the nerves too, no matter what his surface is like.
Good Luck, Listen to your coach. Even Tyson was thinking about getting on a train and going home before his first fight!, Do the business bro!
just relax. everyone gets nerves but try to relax. throw that 1 2 and like paloalto00 said prepare to get swung at..a lot
Bed early friend, I do 3 x 1 minutes the day before a fight on bags and skip , then 3 x1 on pads. Get a good 25 minute warm up in BEFORE your pre fight padding, have breakfast and dinner if its evening show unless your dangerously overweight here, if its morning , quick breakfast, dinner after getting weighed, quick ****, get ready. Judges will be looking for a boxer, not a banger. In and out , one two's. Hit him your hardest early in the first if the oppertunity arrises - if he takes a hard one he wont want to know you all bout and then you can basciclly dictate the action from then on. Best of luck.
Best luck man. Preperations are pretty simple, keep fluids alright and just relax. Let your coach warm up well and most importantly clear your nerves. You're only in the for 6 minutes but it'll only feel like you've been in there for a matter of seconds, after you'll have the biggest high of your life. So enjoy a good experience, win or lose it doesn't matter first fight.
